Privacy policy

This website, abitonventures.com, is operated by Abiton Ventures AB, Gothenburg, Sweden (“we”). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: contact@abitonventures.com.

What we collect and why

• Contact form and idea form. Your name, email address and message. We use them to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Messages are kept for as long as the conversation is relevant, at most 24 months.
• Newsletter. Your email address and, if you give it, your name. We use them to send the newsletter you signed up for. Legal basis: consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data for each request (IP address, time, requested page, browser) to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)). Logs are kept for a short period.
• Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and outbound clicks. Plausible sets no cookies, stores no personal data and does not track you across sites; it keeps aggregate statistics only. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding how the site is used.

The site sets no cookies and does not use advertising trackers.

Who processes the data

• Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia, EU) provides the cookie-free statistics.
• Web3Forms delivers the contact and idea forms to our mailbox.
• Buttondown stores newsletter subscriptions and sends the newsletter.
• Bunny.net hosts the site and serves it from its content delivery network, including the server logs above.
• Adobe Fonts serves the site’s typefaces; your browser requests them from Adobe when a page loads.
• Google Workspace hosts our email, including messages sent through the forms.

Where a provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@abitonventures.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Changes

We update this policy when the site or our processing changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
